Naturalica Foods named Excellent Food Company 2026
Slovenia's food industry picked its stars for 2026. In the micro and small company category, the jury chose us.
The Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises and Agrobiznis have held the fifth Excellent Food Company (Odlično živilsko podjetje) competition. This year, three companies were named among the stars of the Slovenian food industry: Eta Kamnik, Atlantic Droga Kolinska and Naturalica Foods.
The best among the small
According to the selection committee, the best food company in the micro and small company category is Naturalica Foods from Maribor, best known for its Teta Frida brand.
It is a recognition we are proud of. Not because of the trophy, but because of who it puts us next to. Eta Kamnik and Atlantic Droga Kolinska are names Slovenian shoppers have trusted for generations.
Three businesses, one building
What makes Naturalica different is how the business is built. Under one roof in Maribor we run three things that usually live in separate companies:
- Chocolate production. Freeze-dried fruit, chocolate and frozen desserts under our own brands, led by Teta Frida.
- Private label manufacturing. The same lines produce products for retailers and brands under their own names.
- Franchise cafés. The Teta Frida chocolate cafés, where our products meet shoppers directly and where new recipes get their first real test.
Each part feeds the others. The cafés tell us what people actually buy. Production turns that into products. Private label partners get recipes that have already proven themselves with real customers.
What comes next
The award comes at a moment of fast growth. More investment is planned, and we are gradually preparing to enter the US market.
